How Finding a Great Deal Saved the Day

I’ll go miles for a good deal and rummage in huge bins for the designer dress that just might be lurking in there. I’ll visit flea markets and go home with a vintage bag or a set of odd china teacups that look incredibly chic when you have your friends over for a visit. As a matter of fact, I’m obsessed with finding the most beautiful things that are for sale and acquiring them for the least amount of money possible – fixated on finding good deals whenever and wherever. I’m not really a fan of online shopping. I think you really need to touch the item, be there face-to-face with it, to acquire a feel its real value. That’s why it was so uncharacteristic of me when one day, I found myself typing “Edible Arrangements coupons 2012” into a search engine as I searched for the perfect hostess gift.

You see, that day I was pressed for time. My best friend from college had suddenly called me up and declared that she was getting married. She invited me over to her apartment to do some catching up. Not having seen her for a couple of years, I thought it would be appropriate to get her a present. But what would she want? And how was I supposed to find something at such short notice? A lot can change in a couple of years, so I thought I should get her something that anyone would love to have – but I’d have to do it in a pinch. People had told me that there were deals online. So I finally gave in and availed myself of an edible arrangement, using one of the coupons found online. My best friend loved the bouquet of chocolate-dipped pineapples I gave her! Needless to say, we had a very happy reunion.
